# How Pre-Orders Work

A man | made pre-order is a made-to-order window: you order and pay while the window is open, production starts after it closes, and your piece ships as soon as it is made. Every Volume shows its dates before you pay.

## How long does production take?

Production takes 4 to 6 weeks after the pre-order window closes. Delivery comes on top: around 5 business days within Indonesia, and the transit time shown at checkout for international orders.

## Can I cancel a pre-order?

Yes. Before production starts, you can cancel for a full refund. Production starts after the pre-order window closes. Once production has started, cancelling gets a 50% refund.

## How do refunds work?

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method (Midtrans for orders in Indonesia, PayPal for international orders) within 7 business days.

## Can I return or exchange a pre-order piece?

Pre-order pieces are made for your order, so they can't be returned or exchanged for another size unless they arrive faulty. Check the size chart before you order; the [oversize boxy fit guide](https://manmade.fit/guides/oversize-boxy-fit) explains how to pick your size.

## I missed the drop. Will it come back?

No. Pieces are made only for the orders placed during the window, and closed Volumes are not restocked. When a new Volume is announced, leave your email on its page to hear when the pre-order opens. New Volumes are also announced on Instagram [@man.madestore](https://www.instagram.com/man.madestore).

## Is it safe to pay for a pre-order?

Orders in Indonesia are paid through Midtrans and international orders through PayPal. You get an order confirmation by email, a tracking number when your piece ships, and you can cancel for a full refund until production starts.
